Adorned with sparkling Namibian Fancy Intense Yellow diamonds, the new Backes & Strauss Namib Queen of Hearts watch takes inspiration from the sands of the Namib Desert.
Namibian Fancy Intense Yellow diamonds are renowned for their rich golden colour, exceptional clarity, and rarity. Formed over millions of years deep beneath the earth and carried by the mighty Orange River into the deserts of Namibia, these extraordinary diamonds are among nature’s most precious gifts.
The watch’s bezel is set with 36 heart-shaped Fancy Intense Yellow diamonds, each one carefully selected and cut to perfection. On the Mother of Pearl dial, at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, sit four additional heart-shaped Fancy Intense Yellow diamonds.
The centre of the dial is set with round brilliant Fancy Intense Yellow diamonds cut to excellent proportions adding an enchanting glow. It is worth noting that this is a first for showcasing fancy colour diamonds cut to perfection – displaying the Hearts and Arrows motif when viewed through a special loupe. The watch case itself is set with brilliant white, Hearts & Arrow diamonds, providing a dazzling contrast.
This Swiss made high jewellery timepiece houses a decorated mechanical movement, visible through an open case back.
