The House of Rose unveils “The Ranthambore Reserve,” a five-piece limited-edition timepiece created in collaboration with Backes & Strauss. Inspired by India’s regal wilderness and crafted with Swiss precision and British artistry, this watch celebrates nature, heritage, and timeless luxury.

A Legacy of Luxury: The House of Rose and Backes & Strauss Unite

Established in 1981, The House of Rose, India’s pioneer in luxury watch retail, unveils “The Ranthambore Reserve”, a rare, five-piece limited-edition timepiece created in collaboration with Backes & Strauss, the world’s oldest diamond company.

Inspired by the Majesty of Ranthambore’s Wilderness

This exceptional creation fuses Indian heritage with Swiss precision and British craftsmanship. Inspired by Creative Director Biren Vaidya’s transformative journey to the Ranthambore forests, home to ancient forts, teak woodlands, and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, the timepiece pays tribute to the untamed beauty and regal spirit of India’s wilderness.

Design Elements that Reflect Nature’s Grandeur

The Ranthambore Reserve features a striking forest green dial, echoing the forest canopy, while a bold ‘R’ at twelve o’clock anchors the design as a tribute to its namesake. A hand-stitched alligator leather strap with forest hues reinforces its wild yet refined essence. True to Backes & Strauss’ tradition, the watch is crowned with its signature “Jewel in the Crown” – a single, flawless diamond, symbolising purity and perfection.

A Limited Edition Embodying Artistry and Legacy

Limited to just five pieces worldwide, this masterpiece is more than a watch – it is a wearable narrative of artistry, legacy, and reverence for nature.

A Union of Spirit, Heritage, and Craft

The Ranthambore Reserve represents the meeting of two worlds — the spirit of India and the legacy of Backes & Strauss,” says Biren Vaidya, Creative Director, The House of Rose. “It is not only a timepiece but a story etched in diamonds, heritage, and the wilderness itself.”

Continuing a Legacy of Prestigious Collaborations

With over four decades of shaping India’s luxury watch landscape, The House of Rose continues to champion collaborations with the world’s most distinguished maisons. From BVLGARI to Chopard, its creations celebrate the pinnacle of artistry. The Ranthambore stands as its most poetic tribute yet where the roar of the tiger meets the brilliance of diamonds, crafted for connoisseurs who value rarity, legacy, and the extraordinary.

A Tribute to Collective Inspiration and Conservation

Further deepening the connection to its muse, The Ranthambore Reserve also draws upon the contributions of individuals who shared their personal photographs and experiences of the Ranthambore forests. Their authentic perspectives helped shape the visual storytelling seen across the timepiece’s promotional imagery and catalogues, capturing the spirit of the wilderness through genuine eyes. United by a shared reverence for nature, these contributors alongside Biren Vaidya, The House of Rose, and Backes & Strauss, underscore a collective passion for wildlife conservation, celebrating not only the artistry of watchmaking but also the preservation of the untamed beauty that inspired it.
